The visa interview occurred at the Chennai consulate on Wednesday, November 15, 2017.

Around 7:15: Arrived at consulate, stood in unofficial line.

Around 7:30: After checking sticker on passport put by VAC yesterday, moved to official line.

Around 7:40: Sticker on passport scanned.

Around 7:45: Through security.

Around 8:00: Entered consulate and finished biometric verification (left hand 4 fingers only). Then went in interview line.

Around 8:10 or so?: Interviews began

Around 8:40: My interview happened. Interviewing consular officer was young, female, looked like she was of Indian origin.

She first asked for my passports. I gave all of them but she returned the two expired ones and said she only needs the new passport.

She asked the following questions.

Q: What is the company you work for?

A: Petametrics, doing business as LiftIgniter. It is a technology/software company.

Q: What does it do?

A: It powers recommendations on websites, similar to related videos on the right rail on YouTube.

Q: Where is your company located?

A: San Francisco

Q: What is your salary?

A: Currently $140,000. It was $100,000 at the time my original Form I-129 was approved.

Q: What is the highest level of education that you have completed?

A: Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Chicago.

After that, interviewer said my visa is approved.

I exited the consulate and was out at around 8:45.
